Peripatetic Music Tuition

Individual music tuition is available at Tower House School, provided by our own Head of Music, Miss Jenny Abbott, and a number of peripatetic teachers:

Steve Wiltshire has provided peripatetic teaching at Tower House for 12 years.  Instruments include Recorder, Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone.  Tutition is one-one, during school time or lunchtimes.  His charges are £10 for a 20 minute lesson or £15 for a 30 minute lesson.  Instruments are available to hire – please see his website


Margaret Johnstone is a retired Primary Teacher, Music Coordinator and a full member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.  She offers private piano lessons at Tower House for £15 for 30 minutes or £10 for 20 minutes.  For more information please email

Goska Kosmaczewska is a professional violinist and a passionate and experienced music teacher.  Goska offers private violin lessons to pupils from age 6 upwards, from beginners to Grade 8 and beyond.  Lessons cost £15 for 30 minutes; £10 for 20 minutes or a shared 30 minute lesson for two beginners at £7.50 each.  For more information please email

Alicia Stolliday has taught the cello and double bass for many years, from beginners to grade 8+.  Alicia is the manager of the Torbay & South Devon Music Centre and a class music teacher in schools in South Devon.  Weekly lessons (minimum 30 minutes) are charged at £32 per hour and instruments are available for hire from Torbay Music Service.  For more information please email
